This picture of Lord Ganesh and Lord Krishna is mounted on a hardwood base, and has a hook ready to hang on your wall. It measures 19" tall by 14" wide.Lord Ganesh (Ganesha) the elephant headed god, is one of the most beloved of all the Hindu Gods, because of his friendly and playful nature. Ganesh is the son of Shiva and Parvati. His elephant head represents his immense wisdom. He is the god of good fortune, knowledge and learning, and he is considered the remover of obstacles. He is invoked for good luck when any new endeavor is undertaken. Ganesh is depicted with four arms, and is often depicted carrying various objects including: an axe representing his ability to severe our attachment to material desires, sweets or fruits, a lotus flower representing his pure divine nature. One of Ganesh’s tusks is broken, because he broke it off in order to transcribe the great Hindu epic, the Mahabharata, for the benefit of mankind. He is often depicted as riding a mouse which represents both his great humility, and also the ability of the intellect to find out anything even if it is hidden in a remote hard to reach place. Krishna is one of the most popular deities in Hinduism. He is considered by many people to be the most important incarnation of Vishnu, however, many people also consider him to be the source of all other incarnations. Krishna is worshipped in many different aspects: as a beloved child, as a fierce warrior, as the divine lover in Bhakti Yoga, and as the incarnation of God, who teaches Arjuna (and the rest of humanity) the highest spiritual truths in the Bhagavad Gita, the most popular Hindu holy book and the most important part of the Mahabharata.
