Ganesh (Ganesha) T-shirts. Lord Ganesh (Ganesha) the elephant headed god, is one of the most beloved of all the Hindu Gods, because of his friendly and playful nature. Ganesh is the son of Shiva and Parvati. His elephant head represents his immense wisdom. He is the god of good fortune, knowledge and learning, and he is considered the remover of obstacles. He is invoked for good luck when any new endeavor is undertaken. Ganesh is depicted with four arms, and is often depicted carrying various objects including: an axe representing his ability to severe our attachment to material desires, sweets or fruits, a lotus flower representing his pure divine nature. One of Ganesh’s tusks is broken, because he broke it off in order to transcribe the great Hindu epic, the Mahabharata, for the benefit of mankind. He is depicted as riding a mouse which represents both his great humility, and also the ability of the intellect to find out anything even if it is hidden in a remote hard to reach place. These shirts can be machine washed in cold water, but should be turned inside-out when washed. They are a cotton-poly blend, and they will not shrink. They are size large, but they will fit sizes medium through large comfortably. They can also be worn by those who normally wear small, although it may fit a little baggy ( but baggy style is very much in fashion now anyway!)
